Step It Down!

Songs, dances, stories and singing games for children!

Join mother and son duo, Mary Alice and Stefan Amidon, for an active and joy filled morning of singing, storytelling and dancing. The camp runs for one week for children elementary age 6-12 years old at the Brattleboro Music Center. Come for the singing games, dances, folktales from around the world and some of our favorite songs that we will sing together.

Stefan and Mary Alice have been music teachers in Southern Vermont and have many years of experience at folk dance camps run by the Country Dance and Song Society. Mary Alice is one of the members of New England Dancing Masters which has published books and CDs of dances while the Amidon family toured nationally and sang and recorded many beloved CDs of songs for children over the years as Stefan was growing up. Stefan has been teaching kids locally in schools and runs the Children’s Choir at the BMC.
