Exploring Music of Hope and Inspiration! September 26: Elijah
The 19th century brought us a number of masterworks with themes of hope, inspiration, and reconciliation that still resonate today in our time of tumult and division. We begin the conversation with Berlioz’s Romeo & Juliet, with later sessions exploring Mendelssohn’s Elijah, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Each of these works contains heart-stirring and sweeping emotional moments which lift the human spirit, and perhaps gives us hope for that ever-elusive quest for peace on earth.
$25 suggested donation per session, refreshments provided. Please RSVP at 802 257 4523.
