Chamber Series: ESPRESSIVO!

Our Chamber Series presents ESPRESSIVO! Friday, June 13, at 7 p.m. at the BMC.

ESPRESSIVO! Includes four great artists with a passion for chamber music – violinist Jaime Laredo, cellist Sharon Robinson, violist Milena Pajaro-von de Stadt, and pianist Anna Polonsky –all are known for their wonderfully expressive playing.

Performed works will include Dvorak Piano Quartet in E-flat, the Vermont premiere of Nokuthula Ngwenyama’s “JOY STEPPIN,” and Mozart ’ g minor Piano Quartet. About “JOY STEPPIN” Ngwenyama says, “’Happiness’” skirts around the edges, while “’joy’” settles deep and carries us beyond the abyss. Joy can be a challenge to cultivate, but it remains one of our great human gifts.”
