BMC Madrigal Singers: Magical Madrigals & More!

June 24 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The BMC Madrigal Singers present a selection of the greatest hits of love, sex, and popular music that have endured over 400 years. The madrigal is a musical form that originated in Italy during the 1520s. Composers attempted to express the emotion contained in each line – and individual words – of a celebrated poem. By the 1600s, the English Madrigal School of Morley, Weelkes, Bennett, Dering, Wilbye, Farnaby, et al, represented the last of the madrigal composers. They now anchor the Madrigal Singers performance.

Tickets are $10 general admission or $15 for sponsors.

PLEASE NOTE – Extra parking is available at the Green Mtn Chapel and Farmer’s Market overflow lots, but not at the Living Memorial Park.
