A native of Seoul, Korea, Shin received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music, where she also taught in the preparatory division. A former teacher at the Preparatory Division of the New England Conservatory and at Keene State College, Chonghyo now teaches at Amherst College and the BMC Music School. She has been a soloist with the Boston Pops, the Pioneer Valley Symphony, the New England Conservatory Orchestra, and the Windham Orchestra.
