2017-18 BMC Chamber Music Series Opens with Musicians from Marlboro Nov. 11

November 11, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The 2017-18 Brattleboro Music Center’s Chamber Music Series begins Saturday, Nov. 11, when Musicians from Marlboro take the stage.

The concert will feature “wonderful wind” works by Ligeti, Barber, Beethoven and Poulenc performed by Marina Piccinini, flute; Mary Lynch, oboe; Michael Rusinek, clarinet; Wei-Ping Chou, horn; Brad Balliett, bassoon; and Ieva Jokubaviciute, piano.

This long-time touring extension of the Marlboro (VT) Music Festival convenes exceptional young professional musicians to work and perform alongside seasoned artists in varied chamber music programs. Their concerts offer audiences the chance to discover seldom-heard masterworks and enjoy fresh interpretations of chamber music favorites.
