Camp Andantino

This early summer session is open to all string players, regardless of whether you sign up for the later camp, are simply curious about chamber music opportunities at the BMC, or just want to get together and play. It is a great opportunity for everyone to meet the faculty and get to know other interested musicians in the community, including past Andantino participants.  We will play through a variety of string repertoire with an eye to discovering each other’s strengths and finding appropriate musical ensemble partners. Those planning to attend Camp Andantino in July are strongly encouraged to attend this session, since it will directly inform the creation of ensembles for camp.

This gathering is free although donations are welcome. Music stands provided.

Camp Andantino

Monday- Friday, July 18-22, 2016   5:30-7:30 pm
Tuition: $180

Camp Andantino provides string players from an intermediate to advanced level the opportunity to explore the world of the chamber music ensemble in an informal but expertly coached setting.  The coaches are drawn from the Brattleboro Music Center’s Music School faculty: friendly, encouraging and sympathetic!  You will be assigned to compatible groups according to your ability, and music will be available at the BMC or by post two weeks prior to Camp so that you have time to familiarize yourself with it.

Early signup is strongly encouraged, as is attendance at the open session on June 18th (see above)
