Windham Orchestra Noontime Brown Bag Concert

On Thursday, Oct. 26 from noon to 1 pm, pack a lunch and sit in on the Windham Orchestra’s performance of Joseph Haydn’s “Military Symphony” and Aaron Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” at the Latchis Theatre, on Main Street. The cost of admission – besides that tuna on wheat or your Caesar salad – is a donation of any amount.

We may think of Russia as the cold, frozen wasteland of Dr. Zhivago, but the Windham Orchestra’s upcoming “Russia” is exotic, warm and fantastical. The concert, which spotlights richly textured works of two renowned Russian composers, is set for Sunday, Feb. 11, at 3 pm at the Latchis Theatre, Main Street, Brattleboro.
