2017-18 BMC Chamber Music Series Opens with Musicians from Marlboro Nov. 11

The 2017-18 Brattleboro Music Center's Chamber Music Series begins Saturday, Nov. 11, when Musicians from Marlboro take the stage. The concert will feature "wonderful wind" works by Ligeti, Barber, Beethoven and Poulenc performed by Marina Piccinini, flute; Mary Lynch, oboe; Michael Rusinek, clarinet; Wei-Ping Chou, horn; Brad Balliett, bassoon; and Ieva Jokubaviciute, piano. On December 9, the Chamber Series welcomes conductor and pianist Ignat Solzhenitsyn, who grew up in Vermont and was a piano student of the BMC's own Chonghyo Shin, is conductor laureate of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and principal guest conductor of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.
