The Brattleboro Music Center presents a double bill with the roots-based music group Night Tree and the contemporary acoustic ensemble Dunham Shoe Factory. Night Tree is made up of six diverse musicians who came together unexpectedly within the walls of Boston’s New England Conservatory. Felix Mendelssohn’s Octet is one of the most adored chamber music pieces in the string repertoire, composed by a very precocious and nimble 16-year-old talent.  Rarely performed on original instruments with gut strings, Sarasa offers a fresh view of this energetic work. The Brattleboro Music Center’s Season Guest Concerts continue Sunday, Dec. 9, with Glen Velez Handance, featuring special guests Loire Cotler and Shane Shanahan, and the contemporary acoustic ensemble Dunham Shoe Factory. Four-time Grammy winner Glen Velez is considered the founding father of the modern frame drum movement and regarded as a legendary figure among musicians and audiences world-wide.
