BCC: Stay at Home Sing Along Series
New for the fall of 2020!
The BRATTLEBORO CONCERT CHOIR is enthusiastically committed to building and maintaining musical community. Especially now, when we need connection more than ever, music is an essential source of joy, solace, solidarity, and hope.
In that spirit, we are launching our STAY-AT-HOME SING-ALONG program. This fall, every other Sunday at 2pm starting on September 13, the BCC and Music Director Jonathan Harvey will host a collective online sing of great choral works.
The Concert Choir is also collaborating with local high school choirs to create a virtual performance of Black Canadian-American composer Nathaniel Dett’s 1918 setting of “America the Beautiful.” Each Sing-Along will include a brief rehearsal of this piece, and all interested singers will be able to take part in the virtual choir.

When we gather for each Sing-Along, we will warm up together, talk about the music and its context, and when we sing, the music will be projected on your screen as we sing along to great recordings.
Singers can either register for all eight “Stay-At-Home Sing-Alongs” for $65, or one at a time for $10 each. The registration deadline for each event is the Wednesday before. With your registration, you will receive a Zoom link, as well as digital sheet music and practice resources. Register using this link.
Near and far, we hope you can join us in song – looking forward to seeing you onscreen!
