4-Hand Pianomania is designed to help piano students develop and promote ensemble techniques. Students will develop listening skills through playing with other students at their level of ability. Music is assigned ahead of time. A musicianship class will also be part of the daily activity to help build musicianship skills using fundamental theory games and exercises. The session will run 5 days from 9:30 to 12.
Each day starts with a group activity for 30 minutes followed by practice and coaching for a period of 45 minutes divided into two 20 minute segments. 10 minute snack followed by another practice and coaching of 45 minutes divided into two 20 minute sessions. The day ends with a 20 minute closing group activity.
Prerequisite: 2 years of lessons with a piano teacher. Basic music reading skills.
